About Us
The Manson Lake Association (MLA) is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the ecological health of the lake and its watershed through monitoring, stewardship, and science-based management practices. Its mission includes improving water quality, promoting boating safety, sustaining a healthy fishery, preventing the spread of invasive species, and safeguarding the lake for current and future generations, while respecting the rights and interests of both property owners and the public.

MLA 2026 Picnic and Fundraiser
This year's picnic/fundraiser is planned for Saturday, September 5, 2026 (Labor Day Weekend) at Shady Rest Resort, 8440 Shady Rest Road, from 1:00-4:00pm with food starting at 2pm. One hundred raffle tickets will be sold. First place will be $500, second place will be $300, and third place will be $200. Tickets are $30/ticket and they are available by calling or texting our treasurer, Anne Heggelund, at 715-573-0527. All donations to MLA (beyond winnings) are tax deductible! MLA greatly appreciates your support.
MLA Fall Highway Clean-up
The final highway cleanup for 2026 is scheduled for Sunday,
Sept. 6th (the day after the picnic/fundraiser) at 10am. Please come out and give us a hand. The more that help, the faster it goes. It inly takes an hour of your time. Meet at the corner of USH 8 and Shady Rest Road.
